WHO benchmarks for the training of Unani medicine is an update of its previous version published in 2010. These benchmarks address the requirements of training for Unani medicine. It will provide a standardized protocol for Unani medicine, against which its actual practice can be compared and evaluated. It shall enable to regulate the practice of Unani medicine and ensure the delivery of good-quality Unani medicine practice. It will serve as the norm and standard for Unani medicine practice and serve as a useful reference point to evaluate the quality of Unani medicine service and service providers, which will benefit policymakers, health workers, education providers and the public in general.
